Socialism

Daily political rant: How hard is it to simply do the right thing in this world? Call it socialism or any other Fox News coined phrase but when it comes to feeding the starving it is NOT debatable. I'm this first one to say don't have kids unless you are a millionaire and can support every facet of their life but if they are here already what choice do we have? Until you are proven to be a criminal, every attempt to allow you to prosper must be made indiscriminately. Get with a positive solution or get the FU&% out of the way.  

Childless

     Having read many tributes to the parent, here's one for the childless: You decided after sitting in traffic unnecessarily for hours not to be a contributor to consumerism and the overpopulation of the world. You value sleeping in as nature intended and having that second latte while you read your favorite news articles thus allowing you to better yourself and consequently the world. You prefer having disposable income to help the less fortunate already on the planet. You don't desire an early grave for yourself from indentured servitude. Here's to you, the few, the proud, the childless haha

RIght Brain Left Brain

     Follow your left brain and conform to indentured servitude indefinitely. Follow your right and detach from the comforts of normalcy. Balance in the middle and continually distract from nourishing your soul and probably someone else's. What's a lover and liver of life to do?  

GOP Debate

Granted U.S. votes are merely a suggestion to an electoral college that chooses for you but when will an independent be given real credibility in this country? Watching the GOP debates simply reiterates what I've believed all along in that it's all a staged production for the betterment of party lines. Newt Gingrich (who is by far the smartest of the bunch) isn't even being polled any longer and is obviously there solely to take shots at the current administration. It is extremely insulting to be thought of as a naive sheeple that votes on the fact that you too are a sassy soccer mom. Grow up and get it together before it's too late folks.  

Troy Davis Execution

In order to ease confusion over the Davis execution let me assure you of the definitive complexities required to prosecute such a case. You would be amazed what it takes just to prosecute a non capital crime successfully. Because 2 witnesses are now not sure what they witnessed over 20 years ago but the vast majority still remember seeing Davis pistol whip a homeless man then shoot a police officer when he came to his aid does NOT raise question of guilt. The victim's family decides if they are for the death penalty (as they should) not public opinion. 

Personal Balance

Finding one's balance may not occur over night, more likely through trial and error. One certainty I've discovered is despite obvious and others objections you must ALWAYS listen to the voice that knows you best, your own. Having put this into practice the last couple of years I have never known such happiness and contentment. Your soul WILL tell you what it needs, you simply have to listen.  

Solidarity

     It isn't so much a leadership problem in this country as it is a solidarity one (one doesn't necessarily create the other). Even during The Great Depression a united front existed. World War efforts provoked individuals to donate their personal platinum jewelry to create non corrosive military plane equipment for US pilots. Today the sole unified front of our youth consists of falsh mobs for looting purposes. Gross negligence has brought us here within one entitlement generation.

Law Enforcement

If you expect the removal of parasites from our society with the precision of a skilled surgeon then start paying Police Officers as such. Otherwise, get the hose out because there's going to be a mess. 

Molesting Uncle Sam

How many times are people going to let their creepy molesting uncle (Wall St) lure them into a dimly lit closet with the hopes of receiving an Astro Pop?  Some continue to fall for it and feed the creeps day in and day out.

In Hindsight...

It has been established that we don't choose love so much as it chooses us.  Having said that, what, if any directional changes would you personally make or suggest for our youth.  Depending on the individual obviously for some I would advise to marry their first love, work in same community, die in those same comforts.  For others (including myself) I would suggest not locked down life via career or educational paths but choose more direct paths to various interests and passions.  Travel also dictates happiness in these same personality types.

Space Exploration

With the completion of NASA's Space Shuttle program today I can't help but ponder what might have been if this country's resources were geared toward science and technology advancement as they were in the 60's. Now the next moon exploration will be Chinese, next Space Station supplied via Russia. Perhaps encouraging procreation from the inept and sustaining of same for decades was NOT good for mankind as a whole.  

The Information Age

As a general Information Age question, is the convenience of email, texting, etc an improvement or has something been lost in the absence of hand written letters and phone calls?
